La Manta Chilena is a 100% Chilean company founded in 2015 with the primary goal of contributing to the recovery of Chilean roots. This is essentially focused on keeping alive the culture and work carried out throughout Chile by artisan women who have inherited and passed down, over the years and from generation to generation, the art of loom weaving, transforming this craft into different types of ponchos.
SUSTAINABLE
There is no pollution in the poncho-making process. Handcrafted wool is used, which acquires different colors achieved with natural pigments, and is hand-loomed. It's also important to emphasize that the consumption of handcrafted goods contributes to the local economy and gives life to the national culture. Most importantly, their life cycle is eternal; it's not just a fashion statement, it's Chilean history and culture.
